Woodward, Inc. Expands Fort Collins Footprint

Woodward, Inc., a global manufacturing company with locations in 14 countries, has expanded its Fort Collins footprint by adding the Lincoln Campus to their existing Drake/Lemay Campus. The company also operates additional facilities in Loveland and Windsor. This aerospace and industrial design and manufacturing company integrates leading-edge technologies into fuel, combustion, fluid, actuation and electronic control systems for the aerospace and industrial markets.

In 2016, Woodward completed the new $225 million Lincoln campus on a 700-acre site in downtown Fort Collins to house the new industrial turbomachinery systems building as well as the new headquarters building. The company moved its headquarters to Fort Collins from Rockford, Ill., in 2007, and has had a presence in Northern Colorado for the past 60 years.

Woodward chose the Fort Collins site for its close proximity to the thriving Old Town area, as well as its proximity to Colorado State University and access to Northern Colorado’s highly-educated and skilled workforce. The City of Fort Collins worked in partnership with the company to enable the challenging infill site to be developed.

We wanted to locate in a competitive community with a skilled workforce, good infrastructure and great quality of life. We examined all our options and landed in Northern Colorado for all of these reasons. We’ve also discovered that due to the region’s quality of life, we are able to attract and retain talent from all over the world.
