Erie is conveniently located along Interstate 25, 35 minutes away from Denver International Airport, 25 minutes from Denver and 30 minutes from Boulder. The Erie Municipal Airport is located on Highway 7 about 3 miles west of Interstate 25. It includes a 4,700 foot runway and is open for business and personal use.

RTD provides the JUMP bus line, providing service in Erie and linking the town to Lafayette and downtown Boulder, with opportunities to access additional bus service connections throughout the region. The extension makes it easy for residents to commute to work or take the bus to shopping, restaurants, school campuses and more.
